We only collect information you actively provide or that is needed to run the site:

• Newsletter signups: your email address, and optionally your name and WhatsApp number, together with the page you signed up from, the date/time, and a record of the consent you gave.
• Forms & applications: information you submit through contact, Circle, volunteer, partner, or donation forms.
• Accounts: if you create an account, your email, profile details, and activity within the platform.
• Technical data: basic request data (such as a hashed IP address and browser user-agent) used to prevent abuse and diagnose issues.

• To send the newsletter and updates you explicitly opted in to receive.
• To respond to enquiries and process applications you submit.
• To operate accounts, Circles, and other platform features.
• To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that produces legal effects on you.

Where GDPR applies we rely on the following legal bases:

• Consent — for newsletter emails, WhatsApp updates, and any optional communications. You can withdraw consent at any time.
• Contract — to provide services you sign up for (accounts, Circles, applications).
• Legitimate interests — to keep the site secure and functioning, balanced against your rights.
• Legal obligation — where we are required by law.

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected. Newsletter subscribers are kept until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Form submissions are kept for as long as needed to act on them and maintain reasonable records. Backups are rotated on a regular schedule.

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the site (for example, hosting, database, email delivery, and payment processing). These providers act on our instructions and are bound by appropriate data-protection terms. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of people using the service.

This site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted on this page, and the "Last updated" date at the top will change. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
