The Solena Learning Network

A global space for nonprofits, experts, educators, and community organizations to share knowledge, tools, and community-tested approaches that strengthen women-led action.

Through the Learning Network, Solena collaborates with mission-aligned people and organizations to expand access to practical learning resources, support locally led Circles, and create opportunities for knowledge sharing across contexts.

    Learning Partners in the Network

The Solena Learning Network brings together nonprofits, experts, educators, researchers, and community organizations that want to contribute to women-led action and shared learning across contexts.

Learning Partners share practical knowledge, tools, training, research, methodologies, and community-tested approaches that can strengthen locally led Circles and gender-equality initiatives.

The exchange is reciprocal: partners may also learn from Circle adaptations, emerging community needs, lived experience, and locally developed approaches. Learning Partners do not direct or manage Circles; Circles remain locally led and collectively decide what issues they work on and how they organize.

    How Learning Partners Participate

Learning Partners contribute to Solena’s shared learning environment in ways that support Circles and strengthen gender-equality work across contexts.

    Learning Partners may:

    • Contribute workshops, resources, tools, training, methodologies, and practical guides

    • Share case studies, implementation insights, research, and lessons learned

    • Provide community-tested approaches for the Learning Library

    • Join cross-country learning and exchange with Circles and other Learning Partners

    • Offer mentorship, office hours, feedback, or guidance to Circles where appropriate

    • Help strengthen safeguarding, facilitation quality, ethical practice, and accessibility

    • Share opportunities, research, and relevant initiatives that support gender-equality work

Why Join the Solena Learning Network

Many organizations have developed tools, trainings, research, and community-tested approaches that could support women-led action beyond one project, country, or community.

Through the Solena Learning Network, your knowledge can travel further without your organization needing to expand, replicate programs, or manage local implementation. Solena helps make practical resources easier for Circles to access, adapt, and use in locally driven gender-equality initiatives.

Participation is designed to be lightweight and collaborative. Learning Partners are not expected to create entirely new programs for Solena. Instead, they contribute existing knowledge, tools, experience, and connections in ways that support women-led local action and strengthen shared learning across borders. The network also creates space for mutual learning: organizations can learn from one another, from Circle adaptations, and from the realities women are responding to in different communities.

    Core Principles & Boundaries

Learning Partners agree to shared principles that protect the autonomy, safety, and locally led nature of Solena’s work.

    • Respect the autonomy and self-determination of Circles
    • Recognize women within Circles as active contributors and local leaders, not only beneficiaries
    • Share knowledge and support while respecting locally led decision-making
    • Support inclusive, trauma-aware, and safeguarding-informed practices
    • Engage in reciprocal learning across cultures and contexts
    • Respect the diversity of local realities, priorities, and approaches
    • Contribute to a collaborative learning environment rather than competing for ownership or visibility
    • Recognize that no single organization holds all expertise or solutions related to gender equality
